Pharmacogenomics is an area of genetic testing that uses information about a person’s genetic makeup, or genome, to choose the drugs and drug doses best suited for each person. 

Why should I get tested?

Many people become frustrated at the lack of response to first-line medications used to treat mental health concerns. Testing can provide us guidance in which medications may work better for your body, as well as which medications to avoid due to high risk of adverse effects. 

If you have failed a medication treatment for any mental health concern in the past, or if you just want a better understanding of your body’s reaction to medications in general, it is worth getting tested.
